The mountains are truly blue the views are breathtaking you are in a valley ( don’t ask me how) because you are at 4000 feet up so I felt apart of the mountains a phenomenal experience. The Chalet owners need to update their website to let the visitor know there is no spa and the place is being refurbished. If that is told I would be more prepared . The caretaker Mark is helpful and so kind Lorna the Cook can cook but there was not much to cook. There is no menu to choose from or bar to order a drink again being up front with what you have to offer us is so important. We made the best of the situations the rooms are beautiful we choose to get enveloped in the morning rising of the sun and the staff (2) who did their best to make us comfortable ( YouTube ) was their offer. There is so much potential but the first is honest advertising. It took me five days to write I did not want to be negative because the mountain experience is a MUST but travelers just know if you plan to stay here bring your drinks of choice your food as Lorna can prepare it.

This lodge could be SO much more! When I arrived, a hotel inspection was going on. I was completely ignored, not even a hello, not even afterwards. This place lacks TLC. The hummingbird feeder was filthy, the water clearly hasn't been changed in a week. You guys know this is potentially lethal for your beautiful birds?? Invest in a bit of road improvement, install bird feeders to attract all that stunning wildlife your mountains have to offer, welcome your guests properly and clean up the plastic garbage in your garden. Only then would your 140$ per night be worth its value. My compliments to your cook-his dishes were fingerlicking good!
